May 11th Update: Check in by 8:45am at GOTR Central Tent -- find the race director, Karl Lyon, who will supply pom poms, cowbells, and posters and tell you where our cheering station is.
***
We've been invited to host a cheering station at the Girls on the Run Spring 5K! They will supply us with pompoms, noise-making items, and more, but feel free to bring your own cheering gear, too!

RSVP here on Meetup but please also register here:

  • Select "Cheer stations" in the Volunteer Role dropdown
  • When you get to the "Are you volunteering as part of an organization or group?" question, indicate Bull City Beer Runners
  • Note that you can submit the form without donating (despite what it says), though a donation would be greatly appreciated!

***ABOUT GOTR***
Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others.

Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember!
