Bird Hike at the North Section

Details
Saturday, May 31st: Join VOF staff at the Bull Run Mountains Preserve's North Section for a rare venture on historic trails to hear and see some of our late spring birds.
Expect to see (or hear) some of our summer favorites: Wood Thrush, Arcadia Flycatcher, Eastern Wood Pewee, Indigo Bunting, Eastern Towhee, and our lovely Scarlet Tanager
Bring your binoculars, birding apps, bug spray, plenty of water, and a snack!
Meet at the Preserve's North Section's Stone House at 8:30 am.
4331 Hungry Run Rd, The Plains, VA 20198
(NOT The South Section, which is open to the public. This is a facilitated access event.)
The hike will take between 3 and 4 hours.
There are no bathrooms at the North Section, so plan accordingly.
Please email Deneith Reif (dreif@vof.org) for any questions you might have.
Hope to see you birders there!
