Gratitude Hike on the North Section: A Cultural History Tour
Details
Please join Preserve staff on a 6-mile hike at the Preserve's north section. This will be a fun challenge on primitive hiking trails (expect some step-overs) with moderate to some hard slopes with rewarding views throughout.
We will be discussing the homesite remains along the way and the practices of the homesteaders who once made a living in the Bull Run Mountains.
When? Saturday, November 29th, at 10 AM
Where? Meet at the North Section Stone House Parking Lot on Hungry Run Rd.
What to Bring? Water, warm hiking clothes & hiking shoes, camera, and snacks
Friendly reminder to leave your canine friends at home, as dogs are not allowed on the preserve trails.
Drivers be aware! Bull Run Mountain Road and Hungry Run Road are gravel roads with unevenness throughout; take care in travelling to and from.
