Kido (Drumming &Chanting) Practice
Details
Join us for a day of drumming and chanting Zen practice, known as a Kido. It is a form of Zen that uses sound to focus the mind. We add short periods of regular Zazen, or sitting practice. The stillness and silence of the sitting feels very profound after the long chanting periods. A Kido is a fun way to engage our Zen practice and our community. Beginners are always welcome. Snacks and tea provided. Bring something simple to share for lunch. No fees, but donations to the temple are welcome (cash or check).
