Manifest helps security teams figure out what's actually in their software and where all that stuff came from. Open-source packages, third-party software, AI models, suppliers, dependencies — all the fun stuff that can turn into a security problem at 2 AM. 😅

The Burbsec Halloween Costume Contest RULES:
Best costumes win Burbsec-branded medals. I know that's hard to understand.

This is not a “who spent the most at Spirit Halloween” contest (unless you spent it in a very...interesting manner).
Judges will be looking at three things:

• Humor: Make us laugh, or question your social skills. Standard Burbsec fare.
• Obscure references: The nerdier the better. Extra points if only the olds get it.
• Tech-forwardness: Hacking, AI, infosec memes, sketchy implementations, the dystopian tech future. All fair game.

Homemade gets bonus points. We want the weird DIY stuff where you can tell someone lost a weekend to a joke nobody else will get. Store-bought is fine too, and honestly often funnier; it’s just going to lose to a clever homemade deep cut.

Your $200 costume is great, and we DO want to see it, but it’s not beating a hand-built security reference in the contest.

PRIZES: Definitely some very cool East-branded medals (since you guys love one-off badges), plus....something else. Probably Micro Center gift cards because Johnny is busy.
