About us

This is a free group for Japanese language learners who want to practice speaking Japanese and make friends. We casually talk in a group setting exclusively in Japanese for 2 hours.

Members should be able to hold a basic conversation in Japanese and know hirigana. Many members like to bring a notebook to write down new words they come across during discussions.

Please note, this is not a language exchange—everyone speaks only in Japanese (no English). However, native Japanese speakers are also welcome, and we've often had a few join us!

*Best recommended for Advanced beginners-intermediate Japanese speakers or higher (N4-N3 speakers or Genki 2/ Japanese quartet 1) as many of our members are around this level.
