Hello and welcome! I’m Theresa and I organize the Spanish English conversation club. These are our community guidelines.
I’m a volunteer
I’m a volunteer. I’m not an English or Spanish teacher. I’m not an instructor. I’m simply a woman with the motivation to organize this meetup in Burnaby. I wanted to speak with Spanish speakers, and there was nothing like this in Burnaby, so I decided to create the community I wanted.
We are a community
When joining, you’ll need to use your real name and a clear photo of yourself. Please no hats or sunglasses.
If you haven’t been in attendance for 2 months or more, I will remove you from the meetup group. You can always rejoin when you have the time to make it to events.
We have basic English or Spanish skills
To attend this meetup, you must be proficient in either Spanish or English AND you must have an introductory understanding of either Spanish or English.
There is no instruction in this club. When we get together, we spend time speaking in Spanish and English. It’s a language exchange where we help each other learn another language.
You support this group
There is no fee to attend each meetup event.
The fee for the meetup.com app is $200/year. I welcome small donations, such as $5-10 per year per person to defray this cost.

Soy voluntaria
Soy voluntaria. No soy profesora de inglés ni de español. No soy una instructora. Simplemente soy una mujer con la motivación para organizar esta reunión en Burnaby. Quería hablar con hispanohablantes y no había nada parecido en Burnaby, así que decidí crear la comunidad que quería.
Somos una comunidad
Cuando juntando, necesitas usar tu nombre real y una foto clara de ti mismo. Por favor, no gafas del sol ni sombreros
Si no has asistido durante 2 meses o más y no me has enviado mensajes, te eliminaré del grupo de reunión. Siempre puedes volver a unirte cuando tengas tiempo para asistir a los eventos.
Tenemos conocimientos básicos de inglés o español
Para asistir a esta reunión, debes dominar el español o el inglés y debes tener un conocimiento introductorio del español o del inglés.
No hay instrucción en este club. Cuando nos reunimos, pasamos tiempo hablando en español e inglés. Es un intercambio de idiomas donde nos ayudamos mutuamente a aprender otro idioma.

No hay ningún cargo por asistir a cada evento.
La tarifa de la aplicación meetup.com es de $200 al año. Acepto pequeñas donaciones, como entre 5 y 10 dólares al año por persona para sufragar este coste.
