A relaxing walk in Eastbourne. We'll visit the popular picnic spot Butterfly creek. the beech forest here is really stunning. We'll start on the the MacKenzie track, winding up through regenerating bush and mature beech forest offering spectacular harbour views. At the main ridge tracks we will descend into Butterfly Creek Valley and on to the well known picnic spot, then return via Kowhai St track and back via the road to the start.
The timings are:
MacKenzie St to Butterfly Creek 1h45m
Butterfly Creek to Kowhai St 1h
Kowhai St to MacKenzie via road 20m
I suspect we can walk much faster than the suggested times.

Walking shoes/boots, a jacket and warm layer a must.
Water and a snack if you like to share, we'll stop for a bit at Butterfly Creek
