"This is a dangerous little book." -- Kent Beck

"The agile way" is the oldest, deepest, and shortest book on agility in existence, a language of simple interlocking patterns as essential to organizations coping with the intelligence revolution as they were those of the agricultural revolution.

If you see agility as a way of life, this little book will both empower and challenge you. Peter's talk will cover the book's six themes in depth, explain the strange path this book has woven through history, and explore its utility in aligning Agile with AI for organizations struggling to cope with today's ever accelerating pace of change.

About our speaker
Peter Merel
Peter was credited in the first XP book and helped spark the agile movement in the 90s. He created the first agile training games which ran as a keynote at the first Agile conference, XP2K. He went on to coach enterprise transformations at GMAC and Websense in the US, and IAG, CBA and Ray White in Australia.

In 2015 Peter created XSCALE, a descaling Toolkit. Gartner recognized XSCALE in its Market Guide 2015-2021, and XSCALE coaches in a dozen world capitals apply its patterns to banks, insurers, health corps, and telcos.

Peter has served as a software architect, manager, and director for multi-billion dollar products in multiple industries over more than four decades. He's authored patents in scheduling, e-currency, pattern recognition and social networks, led multiple startups, and pioneered open source projects including the original Wikipedia wiki engine.
Founder XSCALE Alliance. Author "the agile way".
