Saturday Morning “Business of Art” Meetup

Hello everyone,

Thank you for joining this group. We will be having our 2nd meet-up on Saturday morning (6/18) from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The location is a cafe in Koreatown, Coffee MCO, which has open-air seating. There is a parking lot in the back and street parking is available. The "Business of Art" meetup is a monthly meetup but there is a smaller group meetup for the regular attendees through discord.

For this meeting, we will share any updates from the last meeting or on any new progress in your work. You can also share any new artwork you are working on or any new art opportunities.

For the new members, you can talk about your journey as an artist and your future art goals such as showing your work in galleries, making a youtube channel, selling on art websites, making art hobby into a side hustle, etc. You're also welcome to share your portfolio with the group but it's optional. Also, constructive critiques are only given if the artist requests them. I would like this group to be casual and fun but also have a purpose. Generally, we want to socialize while working on our body of work, exchange collaborative ideas, and inform any useful art business knowledge. So bring your drawing materials to relax and hang out. Hope to see you there. Message me if you have any questions. By the way, if you're a photographer or digital artist you can bring your laptop or IPad to edit or create work.

10:15 am - Meet and greet/welcome any new members.
10:30 am - Catch up on the last meeting. Share your goal worksheet.
10:45 am - Go around and share any new artwork or art opportunities.
11:15 am - Work on some art (drawing, painting, or digital)
12:00 pm - Depart or (Optional) Lunch with the group
