About us
Bustlin' Brussels Beer Balades is a walking group for people who enjoy getting out, exploring somewhere new, and having a good beer at the end of the day.
Most walks will take place on Saturdays and last around three or four hours, although every walk will be a little different. Sometimes we'll start in Brussels and walk to a brewery. Other times we'll take a train somewhere and spend the day exploring a different part of Belgium before stopping at a brewery. Some walks may include one brewery, while others may include two.
The focus is on getting out and walking together. The brewery is part of the destination, but the walk itself is just as important. There won't be a guided tour or a set itinerary to follow, and you don't need to know anything about beer to join. It's simply a chance to spend a Saturday exploring, meet some people, and enjoy a few beers along the way.
The walks will range from routes through Brussels to longer walks through towns and countryside further afield. Some will be easy-going, while others may cover a fair distance, but each event will include details about the route and what to expect beforehand.
Whether you've lived in Brussels for years, are new to the city, or just enjoy walking and discovering new places, you're welcome to join.

Join us for a relaxed 5 km walk from Anderlecht to one of Belgium's historic lambic breweries.
We'll meet at Marius Renard and make our way west through some of the greener, quieter parts of Brussels and its outskirts, heading toward the Pajottenland. It's an easy-paced walk with plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings and chat along the way.
I'm a fellow beer lover and walking enthusiast, and I'll be leading the walk and guiding everyone along the route. I've put the route together with the aim of finding a more scenic and enjoyable way to get from Brussels to the brewery, rather than simply taking the most direct route.
Our destination is Timmermans Brewery, where we'll finish the walk with a few beers together.
You don't need to be a serious hiker or a beer expert — just come ready to walk, explore a little, and enjoy a beer at the end.

Once we arrive, we'll settle in for a few beers together at the brewery.
Timmermans also offers a self-guided brewery tour, which is available as an optional extra. We'll see how everyone feels on the day and decide whether we'd like to do the tour together. There's no set end time for the brewery stop, so you're welcome to stay for another beer, take the tour, or head home when you're ready. Everyone can make their own arrangements for getting back.
The main event is the walk itself, but hopefully we'll have plenty of time at the brewery to enjoy some good beer and good company afterwards.
Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
