Executive Functioning and Time Management in Kids with ADHD: Building Skills for Success
Children with ADHD often struggle with executive functioning—the mental skills that help us organize, plan, manage time, and regulate emotions. These challenges can make everyday tasks like completing homework, following routines, or getting ready for school feel overwhelming. In this session, we’ll explore what executive functioning really means, how ADHD impacts these vital skills, and practical strategies parents, educators, and caregivers can use to support growth in these areas.
Brandon Slade, founder of Untapped Learning, struggled with academics throughout high school, but in college, he recognized that his brain did not work like his peers. After receiving an ADHD diagnosis, Brandon aims to better understand how the ADHD brain works. After teaching special education for 12 years, he started Untapped Learning. Untapped's mission is to help students with executive function challenges, specifically ADHD and dyslexia.
