What we’re about
- BYOBC's PURPOSE:
- do you find yourself wanting to discuss what you're reading, but don't want to be told what to read or how fast? This might be the book club for you
- Bring-your-own (BYO) Book Club's aim is to discuss the full range of books, their characters, who might enjoy them and what's next on your list
- JOIN US IF:
- you can't resist sharing thoughts on what you're reading
- you want to hear what others have to say about books, even thought you may not necessarily want to read it yourself
- you can explore ideas without pre-judgment
- EVENTS WILL:
- be arranged in cafes and places with comfortable seating and refreshments, or outdoors when the weather cooperates
- minimum one per month with an occational second 'themed' meetup
- be smallish in attendee count to allow for good conversation
- include discussions and readings by attendees
- be hosted (minimally) to keep the discussion moving and give everyone a chance
- Sometimes UNhosted book related events around the city. It will state in the event title and description. The host may or may not show up but if people wish to attend/meet up with others from BYOB the chat will be available
