What we’re about
2025 UPDATE - CAPS IS USING EVENTBRITE FOR EVENTS NOW - we are migrating away from meetup please follow us through Eventbrite
CAPS 🍄 is a community of individuals who share an interest in exploring the use of psychedelics for personal growth, healing, and spiritual development. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and include individuals who have had firsthand experiences with psychedelics and those who are simply curious about their potential benefits.
Our community serves as a forum for education, discussion, and advocacy around the responsible and intentional use of psychedelics. We aim to promote the safe and informed use of these compounds and to engage in constructive dialogue with the broader community about the potential benefits and risks of psychedelic use.
Through our events, workshops, and online forums, we strive to foster a supportive and inclusive community where members can share their experiences, learn from one another, and explore the many ways that psychedelics can enhance our lives and contribute to personal and social transformation.
We welcome anyone interested in learning more about psychedelics and their potential benefits, and we invite you to join us as we explore the frontiers of consciousness and human potential.

Sunset Hike & Psychedelic Integration Circle with CAPS 🌿🌅
Join the CAPS Community for an intentional sunset hike at Latta Nature Preserve, guided by CAPS Advisor Rob Hildreth and Founder Kat Shuler. Rob is a certified Psychedelic Coaching Practitioner through Third Wave, and Kat is a trauma-informed somatic practitioner specializing in psychedelic preparation and integration. She recently published a book, Journey Within, a Psychedelic Preparation and Integration Journal to support seekers walking the path of personal transformation through psychedelics. She will have copies for purchase for those interested in having a resource to support their processing. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and find the group. We will begin by meeting outside the Quest Nature Center parking lot starting at 6:45pm before setting off on a mindful 3-mile journey.
We’ll begin our hike promptly at 7pm to honor everyone’s time.
The first half of our hike will be in noble silence, inviting you to go within and attune to the natural rhythms of nature. At our halfway point, we’ll pause to co-create an altar. You’re welcome to bring small altar items or gather trinkets along the trail. After we are all feeling complete on the altar, we will open the circle for a psychedelic integration.
This sacred space invites you to reflect, share, and connect in a supportive community. Together, we’ll explore insights, process experiences, and ground into clarity and wholeness.
From there, we’ll continue together in opening up from noble silence into conversation, making our way to a stunning sunset vista. As the sky ignites with color, we’ll soak in the beauty of nature at dusk.
✨ What to Bring:
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Bug Spray (if you want)
- Water bottle
- Optional altar item
- Dress for the weather (we go rain or shine).
