🗣️ Talk Title: Time Traveling Data Structures in Shapr3D
🔍 Abstract: C++'s flexible abstraction levels empower developers to balance control and complexity, making it ideal for tackling challenging problems. In our CAD application, we leveraged this flexibility to implement a feature allowing users to modify their previous actions. This led us to confront significant performance issues with conventional data structures. By utilizing low-level language features, we engineered custom data structures that efficiently manage branching timelines while concealing the underlying complexity from the rest of the codebase.
