Photo Pub Crawl

The Downtown Photo Walk is an opportunity to mix and mingle with other photographers and stroll downtown Bradenton taking photos while sampling a few places downtown. Foto Dono will lead the photo walk and be available to answer questions about cameras and photography.

Equipment: You'll need a Mirrorless or D-SLR camera system. The challenge for the walk is to use just one lens and no tripod. Remember you bring it, you carry it. You will also need a decent pair of walking shoes.

Meeting: We will meet across the street from the Lost Kangaroo Pub, 406 12th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205, at the corner of 4th and 12th.

Food, drink, and transportation are not included. The Photo Walk is age restricted for 21 or older. Remember to drink responsibly. You are responsible for your health and safety.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all on Sunday evening and taking a little walk. I also recently purchased a new camera and can't wait to see how it behaves in the real world. The photo walk is a double informal event, so I don't suggest bringing a ton of gear. I'll be carrying only one camera and one lens. I have no plan other than to have good conversations, nerd out on photography, and have a good time. However, I do have an outline of where we will be going. My main plan is to head down 12th St. W towards SR 64, then turn around and head towards 1st Ave W. Where we go and stop… well… It depends on the group. My main personal photo goal is street photography, blending architectural and abstract macro. I'll seek inspiration in unique lighting, bokeh effect, and intentional camera movement. It's always fun to be creative in a group. I'll also stop for drinks and find something to snack on. We will meet across the street from the Lost Kangaroo Pub.
