Results Oriented Web Jumpstart Clinics - Strategic Planning

Details

This session will cover results oriented strategic planning. It will be a non-technical clinic on how to do requirements gathering and goal setting for a web project. The workshop will be focused on an Agile version of the process called Usage Centered Design (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage-centered_design). This process is used by many top websites as a lean, user centric methodology for defining a project.

If you are a website owner who wants to learn about the latest trends in project planning, or a project manager who'd like to learn more about Agile requirements gathering, this is the meetup for you.

For those who took the first clinic, we are re-organizing the sessions. We had many requests in the first meeting for more high-level strategies before jumping into the tools. So we thought it would be good to go over the process for strategic planning before continuing with site building. In the December session we will return to site building with a clinic on theming.

Everybody has a website

But very few have sites that actually look professional, engage visitors, drive traffic and get results. Truly successful websites are built differently. Come learn from one of the top Interactive Marketing and Web Development companies in Dallas about the strategies and tools that leading websites are using to drive real results.

You will learn how to create an attractive, usable, feature-laden website using a revolutionary distribution of the world’s most popular open source website platform, Open Enterprise Drupal. Drupal powers 25% of the top 10,000 websites, including thousands of top brands.

Who should attend?

Small business and organization managers in need of a productive web presence on a tight budget. It is ideal for those who either want to manage their own site or need a solid understanding of modern web strategies and tools to better engage with their web team. Marketing Managers, IT Directors and other website stakeholders at midsized and larger organizations wanting to learn how to build a more engaging web presence, generate more traffic, build a bigger digital footprint, generate more sales and streamline processes. Any of the millions of people already using Drupal who want to go beyond just building sites and into creating highly trafficked, interactive hubs that makes a true business impact. The course is a mixture of lecture, demonstration and hands-on workshop time. Bring a laptop and leave with a results oriented website. No technical experience is required.
