Nottingham PowerShell user group October Meeting

Details
The first bit of important news is that we have a new venue. Following some issues at the VAT we will now be meeting at 38 Carrington Street (https://www.38carringtonstreet.org.uk/), which is the name of the venue and it's address
As usual I'll be around the venue from 6 if you want to pop in early. We'll have a mid meeting break between the sessions for informal chats, and there'll probably be more chatting over a drink after the sessions as well.
Our first session tonight is timely with Bonfire night coming up soon after the meetup.
Leo D'Arcy , one of our regular attendees and speaker at outher user groups will be presenting, in his own words:
In this session, I will discuss and hopefully demonstrate through videos the creation of a PowerShell module to connect to a Fireworks control system. This system uses a proprietary control protocol running over a serial port. I will discuss the process of creating the module, how to interact with a serial connection using PowerShell and hopefully how these concepts can be used in more practical environments.
The second half of the evening I'd like to have a bit of a roundtable. I'm interested in how the group would like to see the group develop, and which topics areas they'd like me look at for future meetings. It'll also be a change to discuss any PS issues/ideas you've got as well
Hope to see you there. Any questions, drop me a line.
