Are You In For The Eclipse?

Details
Dear Friends,
I posted this update about two months ago.
"As things have worked out, going to see the total eclipse has turned into a family affair and I will be with one or more of my kids. I am going to leave this ride posted and if you still want to follow this plan and someone wants to take over ride lead duties, I will happy make you an organizer for this group and you can take it from there. I'm still going to the same place and we can rendezous there if anyone wants to. I hope I've given you enough leads time so as not to feel dumped.
And don't forget your eclipse glasses."
So, please let me know if anyone wants to be an organizer. By the way, I still have have my room reservations. If anyone wants to take them over, please contact me ASAP. Remember, it's only a few months away. You may already be screwed if you don't have lodging arranged.
***************************
In 2017, the last time a total solar eclipse was available to see, I almost spontaneously drove to North Carolina at the last minute to reach the "Path of Totality." But I fizzled out on myself.
Well, the last total solar eclipse of my lifetime will will occur on April 8, 2024 and I'm not gonna miss this one, especially since that path will be relatively nearby following the shore of Lake Erie between Cleveland and Buffalo.
Day one will take us north across West Virginia into Ohio where we will lodge In Logan.

On the day of, we ride to Lima OH which appears to be a flat agricultural area that should provide ample places we can hang out and look up in time for the beginning of the eclipse and hang out for about three hours to watch it from the beginning to at least until the light returns a little after 2:00 and it's safe to ride. Then we head east for lodging in Cambridge, OH

This post will be updated from time to time as plans firm up, but for those of you who may be interested, I wanted to get the dates out.
Could be fun.
NOTE: Much is subject to change (except the date of the eclipse) as we get closer to the event, especially if visibility is a issue. Let's hope for clear skies.
