Members Only Laser Meetup!

Come, laser and socialize with others who like to lase and share ideas and skills! This is your time to finish your projects, socialize, experiment and ask questions of the instructor and other classmates from the laser classes or other laser project classes. Bring your scrap material, ideas, jigs, half-finished projects and files.

There is no charge for TechShop members, but only current members who have passed the Laser Cutter safety and basic use (SBU) class may operate the lasers. If you haven't taken the class but you are interested in the Laser SBU, this is a time to ask others any questions you may have.

Meet-ups have neither registration nor min or max attendees -- just drop on by.

"Moving to the Darkside"

Different materials act differently with the Laser. Engraving and getting a high contrast result can be a challenge. We will discuss different strategies that hopefully will result in high contrast engravings for your finished project. Bring your problem materials, your questions and your solutions to discuss and share.
