The Art Of Caning Chairs

Bring us your tired, your poor, your huddled scraps of chairs yearning to be repaired. Amy Todd, a chair caner with 20 years of experience, will guide us through repairing these treasures by reweaving caning on chairs. She will demonstrate the process from start to finish and provide opportunity for hands-on learning throughout. She will bring photos of some finished pieces as exemplary specimens Bring in your chairs in need of work if you have them and please RSVP. Suggested donation: $10, no one turned away.

Come early and check out Recyclique, our upcycling co-op’s retail shop, featuring refurbished goods, sustainability products/books, vintage, fair trade, local crafts 0pen 12 - 6 pm Fridays/ 10am - 5 pm Saturdays
