Everyone knows some truly fine people in their in their thirties to sixties whose older parents treat them really badly, with hurtful sarcasm, irrational demands, constant criticism, and undeserved anger.

These frustrated, unappreciated adult son and daughters simply want to be good to their parents.

If you are one of these people yourself, you are invited to attend this new support group organized by Dr. Paul Chafetz, a Dallas clinical psychologist. The monthly meetings are free and open to the public, and held at Unit Church every fourth Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. We begin on June 27, 2017.

Dr. Chafetz is a full time practitioner, former university professor, and author of the forthcoming book, Loving Hard-to-Love Parents: A Handbook for Adult Children of Difficult Older Parents.

Participants will find mutual support and a discussion of coping strategies.
