Hey Everyone,
Are you ready for another meetup? Ok here it is...
SCV Startup #4: How I Built a Wildly Successful Gaming Company by Wingin' It.
- Guest Speaker: Voldi Way
Last month we heard from the VC side. Now it's time to hear from an entrepreneur. And not just any entrepreneur, he's created one of the most successful gaming companies in the country. Way Forward has created games for all gaming platforms (iOS, Playstation, Wii, XBox, and more) and includes titles such as Centipede, Aliens, and Blood Rayne. You'll be blown away at what this company has accomplished and they're right here in our backyard - a local Valencia company.
Come hear Founder, Voldi Way, talk about the journey over the last 20 years.
Launching a startup and getting to profitability Thriving in difficult economic times How to hire great people The one thing you need to focus your business on to be successful 2) Also: "Shark Tank"
One of our very own is going to be pitching her startup live in front of the group. Angels and VCs, get ready....here she comes.
- 60 sec Profiles - I need 3 volunteers to briefly (in 60 seconds) tell the group about themselves. Let's get to know each other - it's like "speed networking". The first 3 people to get back to me will get the spots (it's the most fair way). Here's your chance to let the group know who you are. There will only be 3.
The agenda is packed so we will start promptly at 6:30. Get there early - Quit your job if you have to (no, don't quit your job, please).
Cheers,
Erick
