The rumors are true. We announced it last night at SCV Startup #5... Brad Feld is coming to Valencia to speak to SCV Startup. As a successful entrepreneur, investor, creator of the Tech Stars Accelerator, and best-selling author he is one of the most sought after speakers in High Tech.

Brad will tell us what sets the successful ventures apart from the rest and how to make your startup a Rock Star! He'll tell us what he looks for when building his team, investing in a company or entrepreneur and how to determine which startups will succeed and which ones will not.

Brad will also tell us how we can emulate the amazing success "Tech Stars" had in Boulder, right here in Santa Clarita (Awesome Town!).

Brad Feld: Brad has been an early stage investor and entrepreneur for over twenty years. Prior to co-founding Foundry Group (http://www.foundrygroup.com/), he co-founded Mobius Venture Capital and, prior to that, founded Intensity Ventures, a company that helped launch and operate software companies. Brad is also a co-founder of TechStars (http://www.techstars.org/).

Brad currently serves on the board of directors of BigDoor (http://www.bigdoor.com/), Cheezburger Networks (http://cheezburger.com/), Fitbit (http://www.fitbit.com/), Gnip (http://www.gnip.com/), MakerBot (http://www.makerbot.com/), Oblong (http://www.oblong.com/), Orbotix (http://www.orbotix.com/), and Standing Cloud (http://www.standingcloud.com/) for Foundry Group. Previously, Brad served as chief technology officer of AmeriData Technologies. AmeriData acquired Feld Technologies, a firm he founded in 1987 that specialized in custom software applications. Brad had grown Feld Technologies into one of Boston’s leading software consulting firms prior to the acquisition.
