Plugging into Windows 8
Jeffrey Harmon - Creator of Memorylage Windows 8 Store App
"Plugging Into Windows 8", which would go through concrete examples of implementing many of the new Windows 8 features within your app (sharing, appbar, live tiles, etc.). I will use Memorylage as an example, so you can see how they are implemented within an actual app, and not just in the context of a sample. I can also show off my new popup control (which will hopefully have a blog post about it by then), which is a Modern-UI version of MessageBox.Show().
Memorylage is a beautiful new way to view your photos in Windows 8. You can also create custom collages from your favorite photos, or from new ones that you take with the Photo Booth feature.
