Inside the Ruins at Nymans - National Trust

Details
This summer, Nymans will allow visitors inside the ruins of the Great Hall. This was devastated by fire in 1947 and has remained a burnt-out shell since, with only minor repairs having been made.
This will be a unique opportunity to see and photograph the inside of the Great Hall (the focal point of the house) before changes are made - this Autumn, a three year project will begin which will transform the ruined Great Hall into a stunning new garden, inspired by the work of stage designer Oliver Messel, who spent part of his childhood at Nymans.
By visiting today we will be assisting the National Trust in its aim to create a garden within the ruins, which will have stunning views across the extensive gardens towards the Weald in one direction and the South Downs in the other.
