Photowalk : By the Wey at Guildford

For much of this leisurely 3 mile walk just South of Guildford town centre, we will be following a picturesque stretch of the River Wey. Along the Wey (pun intended!) we will pass St Catherine’s Lock and make a brief detour uphill to visit the remains of St Catherine’s Chapel. The chapel ruins date from the early 14th century and is possibly on the site of an earlier building but has never been excavated.

Our walk will also cross the Tilling Bourne and take us to St Marys Church, Shalford, so there will be plenty to photograph.
