The Whiteboard Way to Team Success with Dennis Britton
Learn the whiteboard way to facilitate improved team understanding, empowerment, and ownership of results. Your team can become smarter, more self-aware, more united to a common goal through whiteboard interactive visualizations. After a brief history and survey of interactive visualization, every participant will experience the power of purposeful interactive drawing and come away with their own unique personal whiteboard for continued practice.
We will collaboratively pick several of the following list of powerful team activities, cover when and when not to use it, walk you through the drawing/writing on the whiteboard and how to direct team interaction for greatest effect. We will also describe essential followup activities for greatest long term impact.
- Social Graphling: to reveal social mechanics, identify and relieve bottlenecks and redistribute work to specialized talent
- Constrain Train: to get unstuck, or when going too slow, or missing goals
- Pruning Time: whittle down too many choices in product, goal or process
- PEQ or Priority vs Effort Quadrant: estimate stories according to effort while revealing the priority tradeoff
To close we will look at where you can look to develop these skills: websites, books, training sources like Innovation Games, International Forum of Visual Practitioners, The Grove and Sunni Brown.
