Surely, You Jest! A very serious talk on automated testing(using Facebook's Jest)
Jest is a great testing library that provides an excellent developer experience for maintaining unit tests for your frontend or backend JavaScript application. It has a wide range of functionality built-in and one of its main strengths is how easy it is to set up and configure.
While automated testing is a fairly broad topic to cover, Ryan will attempt to briefly go over language-agnostic concepts at a high level to explain how and why you should have automated testing in your deployment lifecycle. From there, he will dive deeper into more concrete examples of implementing unit-style tests using Jest.
