Details

Are you a fan of Meetup? Have you ever thought of selecting a Meetup group at random, and just going to it, irrespective of how weird and wacky it was?

This is exactly what your Free London Comedy Meetup host has done. He hasn't just been to a couple, he has been to one hundred, yes, one hundred randomly chosen groups, and this is the final one: Meetup one hundred and one, where he does a fun, yet mildly shambolic show about all the groups that he has been to (whilst inviting as many people as he has met along the way!)

You can find out more by visiting the accompanying blog: http://meetup101.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/introduction.html

Here's an accompanying Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1152797974760191/

The night will kick off with six short sets by funny comedians. There will then be short break, with the Meetup101 show starting at around 9.00pm. After the show, there will be an opportunity to have a chat with all the acts and fellow members of the group.

The acts on the night will be: Declan Kennedy, Cheekitika, Ashley Hayden, Michael Daly, Katie Prichard and Nigel Ng.

Although this is a free comedy night, there will be a bucket collection at the end of the night to cover venue costs. If you're brassic, no worries; your presence and laughter is enough.

Doors open at around 7.30pm, with the jokes and comedy to start at around 8.00pm.

As soon as you get the venue, head towards the basement. You can find this by going to the door that is to the right of the bar when you get to the pub.

If you need to find me, I'll be the chap who looks a bit like comedian Harry Hill. If you need any help in trying to find the venue (closest train station is Kings Cross; the pub is a ten minute walk away), my number is: 07889 757 480

I hope you can make it down!

Disclaimer: this event isn't connected to Meetup.com in anyway. I don't work for them, they haven't influenced what I've been doing or writing, but they do know about this nonsense project. It began as 'something to do' and then escalated into something bigger, ending with this gig.
