Saddleback Singles ZtoZ - Small Group Friday

Details
It’s time to get ready for our small group time by checking out the recap of last weekend’s message, “Next Gen Weekend.” If you’re not able to join us Friday night but are free Sunday morning and live in the Silicon Valley area, let me know, and I’ll send you the address for our local small group meeting.
If you’re interested in getting together in person, we have a number of members in Silicon Valley and Orange County where you can connect for coffee, dinner, or other times of fellowship.
Another way to connect is Mighty Networks, which Pastor Charissa Rikimaru, the Saddleback Online Community Pastor, describes as our Online Community patio space to connect between worship services, providing different areas to engage with people, and even allow private messaging with others.
Don’t forget to pray for your One Life (一生之久). Anytime we meet is a great time to invite him or her to our small group. While newcomers are always welcome to participate, they are just as free to sit back and listen. Please feel free to forward our small group meeting details to those who might be interested.

MEETING AGENDA
This Friday we’ll meet from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, discussing last week’s message “Next Gen Weekend.” You can find links for the materials at https://www.saddlebacksiliconvalley.org/events/event352
If you live outside the Pacific Time Zone, consider choosing your time zone on our web site by clicking on the globe icon in the upper right corner.
PREPARE FOR THE MEETING
Please note that you will need an authenticated Zoom account. Many find it helpful to sign in to Zoom before joining the meeting. You do need to set your name to your actual name, and it helps to append the city you’re in—we have members from around the country and the world, so it helps to identify our neighbors. If you don’t include your real name, you may not be permitted entry.
Our small group time is meant to be a time of honest discussion about the topic for the evening, and we want everyone to have a chance to share, so please be ready to answer each question succinctly, and stay on the topic so there’s no need to interrupt anyone.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After introducing any newcomers, we will begin the Bible study at 7:05 pm, finishing up around 8:30 pm. Please be respectful of others’ time and join on time so we can finish on time, and if anyone is up for it, we will chat afterwards. It helps to keep your video on for visual cues to know if you’re ready to share, but first timers can just hang back and soak it in.
Please look over the materials for the week. If you don’t have time to go over everything, that’s fine; often the discussion questions work well on their own, but sometimes they will require quite a bit of introspection—HOMEWORK, as I like to say! If you love to share a lot, please allow others time to share as well. If you’re one who doesn’t share that much, please feel free to jump in; we’d love to hear your thoughts.
WHO WE ARE
Just a reminder to those who have been invited by others: this is a small group Bible study for Christians or those on the path to becoming a Christian, studying God’s word together, primarily for singles in their 30’s to 50’s. Please understand that this isn’t a dating group, and we do welcome those who are in various stages of a relationship, especially couples.
GROUND RULES
• What is said in the group stays in the group
• Don’t minimize other people’s pain
• Don’t try to fix people, just listen
• Focus on my own changes, not on changing others
