Holding the Scales: A Rosicrucian Weekend Retreat at Choke Canyon
Details
Join the Mystical Rose Chapter, AMORC for Holding the Scales: Creating Balance in a Chaotic World — a weekend retreat on the quiet shoreline of Choke Canyon State Park, October 17–18, 2026.
This is a weekend to pause, recalibrate, and practice balance in good company: mystical study paired with rest, nature, and real fellowship.
What to expect:
- Welcome/Greet and an Atrium Convocation to open the weekend
- A presentation by Michael Hanson, F.R.C.
- "Cymatics: Sound Made Visible" — an immersive workshop with Belinda Morpheus, S.R.C. on the visible patterns sound leaves on matter and mind
- Campfire fellowship with s'mores, hot cocoa, and stargazing
- Sunday walking meditation and morning Tai Chi
- A Council of Solace and a presentation/workshop with Katherine Purnell, S.R.C.
- A Rosicrucian Experiment & group discussion, plus open time for relaxation and recreation
- All meals included, from Saturday lunch through Sunday's Farewell Dinner
Who it's for: AMORC members as well as other spiritual seekers, curious minds, and friends of the Order who feel drawn to deeper study and genuine community. Come for the full weekend or just the portions that call to you.
Event fee: $45 registration (covers all meals for the weekend). Park day-use fee ($5) applies separately (waived with a camping reservation).
