Pirate Walk

Every year, on an inauspicious day, Pirates take to the streets on London, spreading terror , looting all in the name of charity. They walk 12 miles from Tottemham hale to Camden town - their final destination the so called Pirate Castle - the Pirate base in London.

This year it will be on 26th May 2012 and we shall be joining them this year !

Walk Like A Pirate is a 12 mile walk along the beautiful River Lea and Regent’s canal, from Tottenham Hale to Camden and finishing with a party at The Pirate Castle.

WHERE DO WE MEET?
Tottenhale Hale tube station – we will all be in fancy dress so you won’t miss us!

WHAT TIME?

12pm sharp for a group photograph

WHAT NEXT?

We walk along the lovely canal side, stopping off at pubs along the way, taking pictures and playing some games!

AND THEN WHAT?

We end up at the Pirate Castle for a refreshing drink, live music, awards ceremony and finish when the last stragglers at the party can take no more!

WHAT WILL THIS EVENT COST ME?
Totally Free event. You can donate to the charity if you like, but totally not required !

WHAT ABOUT THE COSTUMES ? DO WE HAVE TO DO ANYTHING?
Pirate costumes are encouraged , but totally not compulsory. The organisers will hand out WLAP (walk like a pirate) T shirts on the day for those not in full costumes.
Time to put on that favorite pirate hat of mine ..

And yes you do not have to do anything, organisers will take care of collections , pirate games etc.

WHAT IS THIS AMAZING EVENT IN AID OF??

This year we will be raising money for a fund to improve The Pirate Castle (Not for Profit Charity) itself and make it even better for all of our members and users! As a small charity with an aging Castle building, we often find that it is much easier to raise money for new projects – than it is to fund improvements to benefit our current members and users.
