☕ Come and practise Brazilian Portuguese and English over coffee in Cronulla! We're starting a new relaxed group for anyone interested in learning Brazilian Portuguese, English, Brazilian culture and meeting people locally. Everyone is welcome!

🗣️ What we'll do:

We'll grab a coffee and spend the morning chatting in Brazilian Portuguese and English. The idea is to create a relaxed language exchange, where Portuguese speakers can practise their English while English speakers can practise their Brazilian Portuguese.

There won't be a lesson or formal teaching. Instead, we'll introduce ourselves and let the conversation develop naturally around topics such as:

Brazil & Australian life✈️ Travel🍲 Food🎵 Music🏖️ Life in Sydney💬 Learning Portuguese & English🌎 Brazilian culture & traditions.

Don't worry if your Portuguese or English isn't perfect, making mistakes is all part of learning! Brazilian Portuguese speakers are especially welcome, so that learners have plenty of opportunities to hear and speak Portuguese naturally. And if you're a Brazilian living in Sydney and want to practise your English, this is a chance to do that in a friendly, informal setting too.

👋 A little about the organisers:

I'm a Kiwi learning Brazilian Portuguese and my husband is Brazilian, so we're starting this group as a way to meet other people interested in the language and culture and, most importantly, create a place where we can actually speak Portuguese and English together.

Whether you're here to improve your Portuguese, practise your English, meet Brazilian people, or simply have a coffee and chat — come along!

🗣️ O que vamos fazer

Vamos tomar um café e passar a manhã conversando em português brasileiro e inglês.
A ideia é criar um intercâmbio de idiomas descontraído, onde falantes de português possam praticar inglês enquanto falantes de inglês podem praticar português brasileiro.
Não haverá aulas nem ensino formal. Vamos nos apresentar e deixar a conversa acontecer naturalmente, falando sobre assuntos como:

🍲 Comida
🎵 Música
🏖️ Vida em Sydney
💬 Aprender português e inglês
🌎 Cultura e tradições brasileiras

Não se preocupe se o seu português ou inglês não for perfeito — cometer erros faz parte do aprendizado!

Falantes de português brasileiro são especialmente bem-vindos, para que quem está aprendendo tenha bastante oportunidade de ouvir e praticar português de forma natural. E se você é brasileiro(a) e mora em Sydney e quer praticar inglês, essa também é uma ótima oportunidade para fazer isso em um ambiente descontraído e amigável.

Sou neozelandesa e estou aprendendo português brasileiro, e meu marido é brasileiro. Estamos começando este grupo como uma forma de conhecer outras pessoas interessadas na língua e na cultura e, principalmente, criar um espaço onde possamos realmente conversar em português e inglês juntos.

Se você quer melhorar seu português, praticar seu inglês, conhecer brasileiros ou simplesmente tomar um café e bater um papo — venha participar!
