Details
We are back at Franklin House.... Please read important note at the bottom.
-----------------------------------------------------------
You may have heard about the split within the atheist and humanist communities on matters related to science and transgender issues.. to whit, the refusal of the Freedom from Religion Foundation to publish an article on the matter by their board member Jerry Coyne, leading to his resignation from the board, and the simultaneous resignation of Richard Dawkins and Steven Pinker. Three years earlier, and for similar reasons the American Humanist Association withdrew Richard Dawkins Humanist of the Year award they had granted him in 1996.
Professor Moran will discuss the scientific principles involved in this matter, the biology of sex, and how much of wokeness is fundamentally anti-science.

About the Venue
We are back at the Franklin House, which had been our 'home' for many years. Please plan to arrive at 7:00 PM or earlier to order your supper and drinks—and make it your dinner! You can explore the menu here. The Discussion will start at 7:30 PM.
Franklin House's upstairs 'party room' was ideal for our gatherings, both from the aspect of size and the availability of electronic amenities, ie. their sound system, projector and screen. In recent years, citing poor attendance and low food & drink consumption, that venue denied us the ability to book the room without first providing them with prohibitive deposits. Please help us make this a win-win situation.
