Chat about your group over coffee!

Details
The first meeting will be sometime in April/May 2018 on a date and time to be determined once the Basingstoke Makerspace building has been formally opened. We are awaiting this information so we know when the Makerspace building will be available in the evening.
After the meeting, we will go to the Wetherspoons Maidenhead Inn in Winchester Street for a coffee or drink to continue any chats in a friendly and informal pub environment.
• What we'll do
Meet other Meetup organisers in Hampshire and learn how to make an impact on your community! All organisers are welcome, though our activities will be geared towards newer organisers.
Members will:
- Discuss and decide what success means for you and your Meetup group(s)
- Brainstorm ways your Meetup can make the best impact
- Create policies to help your community achieve its goals
- Meet and connect with other organisers in Hampshire
We need you for our fun activities! To respect everyone’s schedule, please inform the organizer if you think you’ll be more than 15 minutes late.
Attendees should bring:
- Supplies to take notes (a notepad and pen or digital device)
- A device to view their Meetup (smartphone, computer, or tablet)
- An open mind—this is about learning and sharing!
• Important to know
This Meetup is packed with discussions and activities to help newer organisers be successful. If you park here you need to display a permit. Park if there is space and ask for a permit to display. If you are a paying member of Makerspace you can keep the permit.
Please reach out to the Meetup Community Experience Team if you have technical support questions or site feedback. They’re your best resource for the right answer!
Space is limited to around 20 for this event, so please be sure to update the organiser if you’re unable to attend. If we are very short of space, any members RSVPed that have been organising a Meetup for over 5 months may be asked to give up their space. This is to ensure any newer Meetup Organisers that really need the help can attend the meeting.
WHAT IS BASINGSTOKE MAKERSPACE
Makerspaces are not-for-profit communities of people who share tools, knowledge and ideas to Make Things - whether a rug, a robot, or a rocking horse. We are looking for like-minded individuals to help establish a Makerspace serving the Basingstoke area.
Whether your preferred tool is a needle, a brush, an Arduino, a lathe, a computer or a plane, as long as you like making things, we'd love to see you! Check our these websites for more information:

Better still, join our forum on our website, and write a blog on your maker projects to put on the website and share with us all.
