Speaker Bio :

Hesham Eraqi is currently a PhD fellowship-awarded student, Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant at the American University in Cairo, and has been a Principal Software Engineer and Algorithm Developer in Valeo. He is conducting industrial PhD research focused on Autonomous Vehicles and Active Safety. Hesham’s peer-reviewed publications, including international conference and book chapters, are mainly in the area of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. He has a variety of own-developed projects, including the awards-winning "Arabot" robot. He is an active technical web blogger (heraqi.blogspot.com)

Mahmoud Serag is currently a master student at Nile university and research assistant in the team of computer vision. He has more than 5 years experience in deep learning and it's applications in areas ranging from medical image analysis to traffic monitoring applications.
