Cake Picnic
Details
Professional and home bakers are invited to the Festival Grounds at City Park in New Orleans. Attendees bring their own cakes. The concept is groups of participants use five minutes to get different slices of cakes. Fundraiser is in place of tickets, which will go to Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans.
We encourage people to get creative with their cakes. The cakes can show off the attendee’s interest or cultural cuisine. We also would like to see savory cakes, like the viral cream cheese tomato cake.
Attendees must list if their cakes have common allergens like eggs, tree nuts, and fruit. Cake slice knives, utensils, and boxes for cake will be provided.
We encourage attendees to bring a cake so everyone can have their share.
