6:30-7:00; Joel Carter – Secure Azure VM Management Access

Joel is a Sr Consultant with Stratiform, specializing in Azure Infrastructure deployment and management. He will share some options for temporary management access methods to limit exposure to Azure VMs. We’ll look at Just-in-Time Access and the new Azure Bastion currently in preview through exploring features, limitations, and demos.

7:00-7:30; Diego Casati – Cross Cloud VPN

Diego is a Cloud Solution Architect for Microsoft focusing on Kubernetes, Networking and Linux and BSDs. In this session he will show us how to take a multi-cloud approach by moving/extending into Azure a workload running on alternative cloud services (Ex. AWS, GCP, OpenStack, etc.) using a fully open sourced and secure VPN solution. We will go through how to design a Network Virtual Appliance and what are the lessons learned from doing that.

Anderson is a Site Reliability Engineer with Benevity. He will share some template based Infrastructure as Code deployment automation techniques, and discuss his experience with managing large scale infrastructure with Terraform.
