Calgary Crochet: First Meet-up & Stitch-Along
Details
I am organizing a gathering for Calgary-based crocheters who are currently selling, or actively working toward selling, their handmade work. Whether this is your main focus or you are in the early stages, this group is about the craft and the reality of taking it to the marketplace.
We are holding our first meet-up at the Central Library (meeting room). This will be a low-pressure Stitch-Along. Bring your coffee or tea, pull out your current project, and let us work together.
What to expect:
-
Icebreaker: We will start with a brief, informal round of introductions. Please share as much or as little as you like.
-
Stitch-Along: The majority of the time will be spent crocheting, sharing what you are working on, and talking about the types of projects you enjoy.
-
Group Future: Toward the end of the session, we will open the floor to discuss how we want to structure this group moving forward. Everything is on the table. We can talk about future in-person or virtual meet-ups, online discussion boards, local yarn-store visits, and any other ideas you might have.
What to bring:
-
Your current crochet project and any necessary supplies.
-
A beverage (coffee or tea) to enjoy while we stitch.
-
Any questions or business goals you have on your mind.
This is a space to learn from each other in a relaxed environment. If you are a crocheter serious about your work, come join us.
