What we’re about

Contra dance is a modern community dance where couples form two long lines facing each other and follow a series of repeating steps, guided by a caller and set to live music. Dancers progress up and down the lines, keeping their partner and interacting with different pairs. Contra dance is social, energetic, with a strong sense of community and cooperation.

It's easy to learn, fun, and no partner or experience is necessary.

Community Dance with Guest Caller

We are fortunate to have a guest caller all the way from Seattle to call our Contra dance.

Contra dancing is a modern social dance where you dance with a partner to a live caller and live music. Each dance is taught. It's easy to learn, and beginners are welcome. No partner or dance experience is necessary. If you can tell your left from right (most of the time) you'll have a good time. Bring comfy shoes and clothing, and big smile.

The evening starts at 7:00 with a warmup and orientation, and the first dance is at 7:30 PM.
