Monthly Meetup: Is getting press for your game worth it?

Every third Thursday of every month we have a short presentation or a local community social. Come join us, bring your projects, and meet local video game developers!

This month we have the pleasure to do a short breakdown on games media following the wild success of the announcement of "Shade Protocol" which our directors Dillan Schmitz and Illia Bielikov were key players in the development of the trailer.

The first portion will be a perspective from Illia and Dillan on what steps were taken to get into the OTK game festival and make it to IGN with their trailer. As well as how it impacted wishlists, publisher attention and addition media outlets.

The other portion will feature Steven Messner (Director of Communications & Audience at Blackbird Interactive, Ex- PC Gamer) and Christian Laventure (Marketing Manager at Playstack, Ex- Evolve PR) on their perspective on what games media looks for these days and wether from a objective viewpoint (stats & graphs), if games media is even worth its salt anymore!

As always our meetup will occur at Civic tavern from 6pm onwards on the third Thursday (June 19th). Event is free, casual and open to all!
