Mount Bourgeau (Kane Book - Hike - Easy scramble)

Mount Bourgeau Hike (easy scrambling if any, steep hiking)

Times and meeting location may change prior to event so please check the day before.

This trip will be cancelled if the weather is not clear skies and the start time may change, please double check the date and start time getting close to this hike since I am making so far out things may change.

NOTE: All RSVP questions must be answered to be eligible for this trip.
DISTANCE: Approx. 25 km / ELEVATION GAIN: Approx. 1500m / Approx hiking time 11-12 hours (depending on group speed)

PACE: STEADY – SLOW we will be taking our time. Likely to chill and have a tea on the summit. If you are in a rush this one may not be for you.

We will hike together and stay together as a group; please do not sign up for this hike if you aren’t interested in hiking as a group.

REQUIRED GEAR: HEADLAMP (I will be checking you have this at the start of hike) micro spikes, WATERPROOF hiking boots, layered clothing, hiking poles, gloves, hat, extra socks, personal medications (if needed). Bring AMPLE water, a lunch, and snacks.

Meeting time: 7:00 am July 10th

Meeting location: Harvey pass trail head

We will be driving a white Honda civic.

Hike – Starting at the Harvey pass trail head. Hike into Bourgeau lake, take some pics. On the was to Harvey pass will be passing some beautiful alpine tarns. And then to Harvey pass (amazing view from here). Depending on the energy level of the day, might chill here, since we have already done this peak. If your goal is to get this peak, you can continue. And we will wait, who we kidding lol we will likely go to the top too. Main goal for the day is to have fun and see of views. Hopefully, someone is great at jokes, and we can get some laughs too.

This is a long hike, like the gambling commercial, know your limit and stay within it. This is a 25 km hike with a decent size gain 1500 meters.

Due to Covid-19 there will be a limit for people. For this meet up I will likely be making two groups and taking more people than the 6. We will respect physical distancing and hike at least two metres apart. Please do not show up for this hike if you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. Please refrain from putting your mouth on other people or their belongings. And please no speaking moistly.
