Cirrus Mountain (MN7/S6)

Details
This is a two-day event that requires bivying overnight on the mountain, so you need to have camping gear and be prepared for colder temperatures at night. In the spring, Cirrus Mountain is a mountaineering objective that requires glacier travel, but at this time of the year the glacier is mostly avoidable. However, we will potentially need crampons and ice axe for the steep snow slopes to reach the summit ridge. The ridge traverse involves moderate scrambling with some exposure. The initial ascent up the access gully is very steep and will be unpleasant with heavy overnight packs, so be prepared for that as well. The views from Cirrus will be outstanding. If you've driven by the Weeping Wall along Highway 93, you will have looked up at Cirrus guarding that stretch of highway. This one has been on my list for the last two years, and the weather window is finally great to be able to do it, so I'm super excited for it! (Photo credit - Vern Dewitt)

π² If we have not hiked together before, please answer the question regarding your hiking experience. The waitlist for this event is not first come, first serve, but rather is based on your hiking/scrambling experience that is suitable for this hike.
π² I prefer to move at a moderate and steady pace with short breaks only when necessary (e.g., re/delayering, bathroom, snacks, lunch). This means that if you need to stop for frequent and/or elaborate photo shoots at every large boulder and pseudo-view point, please do not sign up. It is also a must that the GROUP STAYS TOGETHER, so don't sign up if you want to take off to do exploratory route finding through the bushes or up an uninviting gully or trying to set a personal best time. It is also not acceptable to break off into your own small group to selfishly bag a peak and then head back to the trailhead while leaving the rest of the group behind.
