Mystery Hike (S5) - 100th Milestone
Details
I'm doing two things I usually don't do in my postings: 1) posting in advance without knowing the weather forecast; and 2) offering a mystery hike. I typically find mystery hikes to be gimmicky and I didn't think I'd ever post one. However, given that this is my 100th organized hike, why not add some mystery to the objective? 100 hikes in two years, not a bad record I would say! Of course I carefully selected this particular hike as the mystery hike because I want to make sure that people won't be disappointed if they sign up. This trip will be weather dependent and I will change the date if the weather is dismal on the 18th. Here are some guarantees about the hike:
- You haven't done it. Only a handful of people have done this obscure peak.
 - The views will be truly spectacular (no views of dismal rolling hills or the prairies, so don't sign up if that's what you're hoping for). This hike is situated along the Icefields Parkway, so of course the views will be great.
 - This is a perfect shoulder season hike, meaning that we will be able to summit even if there is snow on the route. In fact, some snow will make the scrambling more interesting and add some additional challenge to the hike.
 - This hike is not excessively long. Despite the distance and elevation gain, it is a straightforward route and we will have no problem completing it in a reasonable amount of time before the daylight dwindles.

๐ฒ Distance: 14km
๐ฒ Driving time to trailhead: ~2 hours

๐ฒ If we have not hiked together before, please answer the question regarding your hiking experience. The waitlist for this event is not first come, first serve, but rather is based on your hiking/scrambling experience that is suitable for this hike.
๐ฒ I prefer to move at a moderate and steady pace with short breaks only when necessary (e.g., re/delayering, bathroom, snacks, lunch). This means that if you need to stop for frequent and/or elaborate photo shoots at every large boulder and pseudo-view point, please do not sign up. It is also a must that the GROUP STAYS TOGETHER, so don't sign up if you want to take off to do exploratory route finding through the bushes or up an uninviting gully or trying to set a personal best time. It is also not acceptable to break off into your own small group to selfishly bag a peak and then head back to the trailhead while leaving the rest of the group behind.
