Pickletooth Peak (S5)
Details
I don't care much for the views in this area, but it's a good choice for getting in another shoulder season scramble. Funny name for a relatively obscure peak in the Lineham Creeks area. This will be an exploratory route for which I got beta on from someone who did it a couple weeks ago and he assured me that it's doable with more snow on it. Make sure to have your HEADLAMP handy in your bag. Photo credit - (Bob Spirko)
Some tips: It is winter conditions in the mountains, so you should have winter gear with you, like winter gloves and toque. Also, it's a good idea to follow the organizer instead of making your own route prematurely up a slope just because it looks inviting, especially if you don't have a track and don't know where you're going. This will save you from spending a lot of unnecessary energy and time sidehilling on unpleasant terrain.

š² I prefer to move at a moderate and steady pace with short breaks only when necessary (e.g., re/delayering, bathroom, snacks, lunch). This means that if you need to stop for frequent and/or elaborate photo shoots at every large boulder and pseudo-view point, please do not sign up. It is also a must that the GROUP STAYS TOGETHER, so don't sign up if you want to take off to do exploratory route finding through the bushes or up an uninviting gully or trying to set a personal best time. It is also not acceptable to break off into your own small group to selfishly bag a peak and then head back to the trailhead while leaving the rest of the group behind.
