This is a repost from earlier in the fall when the weather didn't align for this one. Now that the weather is turning and it's a crappy weather weekend, it's the perfect time for Trap Peak because I don't expect great views for this one anyhow, so I don't need clear blue skies. Also, there shouldn't be any (or only very little) snow in the gully, so it shouldn't cause any problems for the ascent/descent. Still worthwhile to bring your microspikes just in case. If you need a reminder, Trap Peak is near Serendipity Peak in the Lineham Creek area. Although this isn't a long one, you should still have a headlamp in your bag just in case. Note 1: It is your responsibility to get yourself to the meetup spot. Drivers who are kind enough to take passengers for carpooling are not your personal Uber driver.
Note 2: It is winter conditions in the mountains even if there isn't knee-deep snow. The temps are low and it can get bitterly cold with high winds, so dress appropriately, meaning you should have appropriate layers, spare jackets, toque, and gloves.
Note 3: If you provide inadequate answers to the screening question, I won't be following-up with you to elicit more information. I will just assume that you don't have enough experience or are unprepared.

๐ŸŒฒ If we have not hiked together before, please answer the question regarding your hiking experience. The waitlist for this event is not first come, first serve, but rather is based on your hiking/scrambling experience that is suitable for this hike.
๐ŸŒฒ I prefer to move at a moderate and steady pace with short breaks only when necessary (e.g., re/delayering, bathroom, snacks, lunch). This means that if you need to stop for frequent and/or elaborate photo shoots at every large boulder and pseudo-view point, please do not sign up. It is also a must that the GROUP STAYS TOGETHER, so don't sign up if you want to take off to do exploratory route finding through the bushes or up an uninviting gully or trying to set a personal best time. It is also not acceptable to break off into your own small group to selfishly bag a peak and then head back to the trailhead while leaving the rest of the group behind.
