Making new friends as an adult can be challenging, especially in a new city. Whether you're a Calgary local, newcomer, international student, expat, or simply someone who enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds, our community makes it easy to connect in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Unlike a typical social event where people stay with those they already know, our events are thoughtfully designed to help conversations happen naturally. Most of our members attend solo, and our friendly hosts create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
From our signature Fast Friends socials and pub nights to coffee meetups, conversation events, games, and seasonal gatherings, every event is an opportunity to share stories, discover new cultures, and build genuine friendships.

Fast Friends is a professionally hosted social experience designed to make meeting new people easy. Through guided conversations, rotations and interactive connection rounds, you'll meet a variety of people in a relaxed setting — even if you're coming on your own.
This time, we're heading to Last Best Brewing & Distilling, a Calgary brewery known for its craft beer, food and relaxed social atmosphere. We'll have our own dedicated lounge area, giving our group a comfortable space to hear the host, have conversations and connect.
🍻 Oktoberfest Special
We're adding a little Oktoberfest spirit to the evening with themed touches, interactive rounds and a special Oktoberfest Never Have I Ever to get the conversations flowing and bring some extra fun to the night.🍻 Wearing traditional Oktoberfest attire? Great! Prefer to come as you are? That’s absolutely fine too — everyone is welcome! ❤️

7:00 PM – Welcome & Drinks
Meet your host Sonia, settle into our dedicated lounge area and get comfortable. Coming alone? That's completely normal — most guests do, and you'll be welcomed from the moment you arrive.
7:30 PM – Hosted Fast Friends 🤝
Meet a new person every few minutes through short, guided conversations. Sonia will keep the rounds flowing, so you can focus on getting to know people rather than wondering who to approach.
✨ Oktoberfest Special
Enjoy our themed connection rounds and a special Oktoberfest Never Have I Ever — a fun way to bring some extra energy and unexpected conversations into the evening.
From 8:30 PM – Drinks & Mingling
The hosted rounds finish, but the evening doesn't have to. Stay for food, drinks and more conversations with the people you've connected with.
🍺 Late-night drink specials: Last Best currently offers its Friday and Saturday late happy hour from 10 PM, including special prices on selected beers and drinks.
