Making new friends as an adult can be challenging, especially in a new city. Whether you're a Calgary local, newcomer, international student, expat, or simply someone who enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds, our community makes it easy to connect in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Unlike a typical social event where people stay with those they already know, our events are thoughtfully designed to help conversations happen naturally. Most of our members attend solo, and our friendly hosts create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
From our signature Fast Friends socials and pub nights to coffee meetups, conversation events, games, and seasonal gatherings, every event is an opportunity to share stories, discover new cultures, and build genuine friendships.
Our mission is simple: to bring Calgary locals and people from around the world together through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and lasting friendships.

Halloween Special🎃Meet New People, Make Friends | Happy Hours | 21–45

Fast Friends is designed to make that easier. 🤝Instead of leaving introductions to chance, you'll be part of a professionally hosted social experience where our host guides the evening, keeps conversations moving and gives you plenty of opportunities to meet different people.
This Halloween, we're adding a little spooky fun to the experience. 👻
Expect Halloween-themed connection rounds, paranormal conversations, strange stories and fun “what if?” questions — an easy way to break the ice, have a laugh and get comfortable talking to people you've just met.
🎃 Dressing up is encouraged, but completely optional. Come in costume if you want, or simply come as you are — everyone is welcome!

We're heading back to Last Best Brewing & Distilling — a Calgary craft brewery and distillery known for its locally made beer, food and relaxed social atmosphere.
We'll have our dedicated lounge area, with a mix of seated and standing space, giving you room to settle in, move around and socialise naturally.
It's the perfect setting for an evening of craft beer, food, conversations and new connections.

Fast Friends isn't about walking into a room full of strangers and hoping you happen to meet someone.
You'll move through short, guided conversations and rotations, meeting different people throughout the evening.
Our host keeps the rounds flowing, so you don't have to worry about who to approach or what to say next.
Then we'll add some Halloween flavour with our Spooky Themed Connection Rounds — giving you fun conversation starters around the paranormal, spooky experiences, strange stories and “what if?” scenarios.
It's an easy way to break the ice, have some fun and get comfortable with each other without relying on the usual small talk. 👻

7:00 PM — Welcome & Drinks
Meet your host Sonia, settle into our dedicated lounge area, grab a drink and get comfortable.
Coming alone? Completely normal — most guests do. You'll be welcomed into the group from the moment you arrive.
7:30 PM — Hosted Fast Friends 🤝
Meet a new person every few minutes through short, guided conversations.
Sonia will keep the rounds moving, so you can focus on getting to know people rather than wondering who to approach.
👻 Spooky Themed Connection Rounds
We'll add a Halloween twist to some of our rounds with paranormal and spooky conversation prompts.
Think strange experiences, unexplained stories, creepy places and fun “what if?” questions.
Nothing too serious or scary — just an easy way to get people laughing, talking and feeling more comfortable with each other.
From 8:30 PM — Drinks, Food & Mingling
The hosted rounds finish, but your evening doesn't have to.
Stay for food, drinks and more conversations with the people you've connected with.---
🍺 Stay Late for Happy Hour
Why end the evening when the conversations are still going?
Last Best's Friday & Saturday late-night happy hour starts at 10 PM, with selected draft beers from around $4 and other food and drink specials.
So after Fast Friends, you can stay on, grab another drink and continue the evening with your new connections. 🍻
