Mahjong in Chinatown - June 23

Let's get together, make new friends, and play (or learn to play) mahjong. Beginners are always welcome. Donations towards the cost of running the Meetup website will be appreciated.

NEW VENUE: Today's mahjong game will be held at the Leong Chong How Tong Association, in the heart of Chinatown. The venue has a small kitchen so feel free to bring snacks or drinks with you if you'd like.

Mahjong is an easy game to learn but a difficult game to master.

We usually have at least 2 mahjong sets and 2 games (or more) going on at the same time, and since there are a dozen MJ tables and MJ sets at this venue, there should be ample for all. However, if you have a mahjong set you would like to play with, please bring it with you. One of the tables is usually set up to play riichi (Japanese mahjong). A standard mahjong game requires 4 players but a 3-player game is also possible if we are short of players.

There should be free street parking near the venue on a Monday evening but it might be more convenient to arrive by C-train if you can as parking spaces fill up fast.
