Mahjong in Chinatown - July 18

Let's get together, make new friends, and play (or learn to play) mahjong. Beginners are always welcome. Donations towards the cost of running the Meetup website will be appreciated.

NEW VENUE: Today's mahjong game will be held at The New Gallery, in the heart of Chinatown.

Mahjong is an easy game to learn but a difficult game to master.

We usually have at least 2 mahjong sets and 2 games (or more) going on at the same time, and since this venue is an art gallery, we will need mahjong sets and mahjong tables. If you have a mahjong set or mahjong table, please consider bringing it with you. One of the tables is usually set up to play riichi (Japanese mahjong). A standard mahjong game requires 4 players but a 3-player game is also possible if we are short of players.

There should be free street parking near the venue on a Friday evening but it might be more convenient to arrive by C-train if you can as parking spaces fill up fast.
